A candle to remember,
May it burn ever so bright

Embraced by there Savior
On heaven's shores.
As the angels protect them
And sing there sweet name
We honor there life
With the glow of this flame.
So we light this candle

prevent every bad thing in your life to enter.

If I could put a rainbow in your sky,
if I could put angels to dance before your eyes,
if I could put always love in your heart,
these things, my darling, would only be a start.

None of these things I have in my power,
I cannot keep you free from all sorrow,
but I can love you and always be there,

Gods lent child

I'll lend you for a little while, a child of mine God said,
For you to love the while he lives, and mourn for when he's dead,
It may be six or seven years, or forty two or three,
But will you till I call him back, take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You'll always have his memories, as solace in your grief,
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons down below I want this child to learn.

I've looked this whole world over in my search for teachers true,
And from the folk that crowd life's lane I have chosen you,
Now will you give him all your love and not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to take this lent child back again?

I fancy that I heard them say 'Dear God, thy will be done,
For all the joys this child will bring the risk of grief we'll run,
We will shelter him with tenderness, We'll love him while we may,
And for all the happiness we've ever known, we'll ever greatful stay,

But should the angels call him, much sooner than we'd planned,
We will brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.......

i am with you

Once I lived in my mother's womb,

A place for me to flourish and bloom,

And in that place I felt such love,

Until the day I was called from above,

The angels came and took me away,

Because on Earth I couldn't stay,

But my mother didn't want me to go,

Because she really loves me so,

So I spoke to God and made a deal,

That would help my mummy's heart to heal,

And so God said that I could visit,

At any time, there is no limit,

Now I watch her visit my grave,

I send her courage to make her brave,

And in the night when she cries,

I am there to wipe her eyes,

And when she sits and thinks of me,

I am there sat on her knee,

When she thinks that no one cares,

I am there stroking her hair,

When it's hard for her to carry on,

I am there to make her strong,

For when you carry love in your heart,

You never really are apart
